Banks and Armstrong Keynote Catalonian Symposium of Podologia in Barcelona

Alan S. Banks, longtime senior faculty of the Podiatry Institute and David G. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery and Director of the Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) at the University of Arizona, provided dual keynote lectures at the 23rd Symposium of the Catalonian Society of Podólogy in Barcelona this past week. “I am honored by the warm reception and kindness shown by the leadership of the society”, noted Dr. Banks in his opening remarks. Both Banks and Armstrong covered a wide range of topics- from the latest in foot reconstruction to next-generation technologies incorporated in both the clinic and operating room. Armstrong summarized “It was wonderful meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. We’ve so much in common and we’re working hard to make a difference, together.”
