@USCs Armstrong is First Podiatric Surgeon to Publish 500 Peer Reviewed Manuscripts, Reaching Landmark at 50 years old @KeckMedUSC @APMA

David G. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery and Director of the Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance published his 500th peer reviewed manuscript in 2019, at age 50. He becomes the first podiatric surgeon in the history of the specialty to reach this landmark. He and his colleagues have become the first podiatric surgeons to publish in a multitude of journals. This includes the New England Journal of Medicine, Nature journals, the Lancet, JAMA, JVS, and JBJS among many others. The 500th publication was the publication of the mammoth Global Vascular Guidelines led by Profs. Michael Conte and Andrew Bradbury.
