It’s Official: Toe, Flow, and Kumbaya- the historic dual issue of JVS/JAPMA

It is official: The historic dual “Toe and Flow” issue of the Journal of Vascular Surgery (JVS) and the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association (JAPMA) has now been released. This stems from generations of team efforts beginning with Eliot Joslin’s hiring a proto vascular surgeon and podiatrist shortly after the isolation of insulin to today’s robust toe and flow team model. Efforts for this present project began rapidly but modestly– in February, 2009, in what is now termed the “SALSA Summit”, leaders from the APMA and SVS came together in Tucson to map out several ongoing initiatives. One of the major projects includes this dual issue, co-edited by Profs. Joseph L. Mills, David G. Armstrong and George Andros.
