Expanding the Orphanage for Orphan Drugs

Here's a great article outlining the IDSA's efforts to work with the FDA to expand the definition of “orphan” drug to include antibiotics. I think we can all agree that these agents have been treated like unwanted foster stepchildren by pharma. Perhaps this can be the “game changer”?!
