David G. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery and Director of the University of Arizona’s Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) highlighted more than a dozen lecturers and delegates from some 45 nations at the International Diabetic Foot Symposium held this week in Cuba. “I am honored to have played a part in this terrific symposium”, noted Armstrong. “To share the stage with so many luminaries and with delegates trying to make a difference worldwide is truly inspiring.” The symposium, held every two years, highlights works from Havana’s Center for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering.
