David G. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery and Director of the University of Arizona’s Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) became the first ever podiatric surgeon to keynote the Southern California Vascular Surgical Society (SCVSS). “To be able to share our successes and failures with the ‘Toe and Flow’ model of limb salvage with so many eminent friends and colleagues in the Southland is not only an honor, but it feels like coming home”, noted Dr. Armstrong, a California native. “I’m grateful to Dr. Abou-Zamzam, Chris Bianchi, Jason Chiriano and the entire membership.”  The symposium, held in Rancho Bernardo near San Diego, is in its 33rd year and represents academic and private vascular surgeons from throughout the region.
