The Driverless Car: Will it one day be mandatory?

I think that we at SALSA-iCAMP sounded rather foolish a few years ago when we predicted that in 10 years there might be some municipalities where it will be illegal to drive your car– manually (and we don’t mean the transmission). I think that that day is now getting closer and closer.

We are so very excited about the potential for our patients. Think of an Uber-like autonomous transport system for people too old to drive!  For that matter, think of a future where few of us even own our own car. There’s an app for that.

Here’s a great article that shows the accelerating race toward driverless vehicles.
