David G. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery and Director of the University of Arizona’s Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) provided the keynote address for the inaugural symposium on Diabetic Limb Salvage / Critical Limb Ischemia and Wound Healing held in Cleveland this weekend. “I’m honored to have been a part of this great program and am grateful to Lee Kirksey for the invite and his Chairmanship.” noted Armstrong. “It is a testament to the great work of people like Dr. Alan Boike (now Dean of Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine), who has, along with Georgeanne Botek and others, worked so hard and so long to develop a great team at Cleveland Clinic, which is without question one of the elite centers for healthcare, worldwide.”
