@UofA’s Armstrong First Podiatric Surgeon to Deliver Surgery Grand Rounds at Westchester Medical Center

David G. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery and Director of the University of Arizona’s Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) became the first ever podiatric surgeon to deliver grand rounds as a visiting professor at the institution. “I am grateful to my long-time friend, Prof. Rifat Latifi for having me out” noted Dr. Armstrong “He has helped to develop an enormously exciting, world class infrastructure in Surgery, Telehealth, and next-generation care.” Dr. Latifi was equally enthusiastic. “It is wonderful to have David here. We aspire to be a world-class institution and having the ‘Michael Phelps'” of Podiatry here to talk about amputation prevention is another step toward that never ending goal.” Armstrong discussed his and other teams surgical, medical and mechanical efforts to treat patients through into diabetic foot remission. The event was streamed throughout the the Westchester Medical System to trainees throughout the region.
