SALSA’s Armstrong Returns to Keynote Gulf Diabetic Foot Meeting in Qatar

David G. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery, co-Founder and Director of the Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, returned to help keynote the Gulf Diabetic Foot Symposium, held this year in Doha, Qatar. “To see this symposium triple in size in just three years– to 1000 people– is heartening and inspiring”, noted Dr. Armstrong, who joined co-Keynote speakers, Profs. Lawrence Lavery, Stephanie Wu, Bijan Najafi, Javier Aragon Sanchez, Miguel Montero-Baker and JP Hong. “What was even more wonderful was to share it with my life-long friends and colleagues. ” The symposium, Chaired this year by Talal K. Talal,  attracted delegates from across the Gulf States, India, and North Africa, is the largest regional symposium of its kind in the world.
