A record breaking symposium in Mexico City featured key podiatric and vascular surgeons from the United States. The symposium, Endovascular Horizons Latin America (better known as HENDOLAT) brought together surgeons from three continents. “To see this meeting grow as it has is a testament to its organizers, particularly (vascular surgeon) Miguel Montero-Baker.” noted Jeff Ross, DPM, MD, Associate Professor of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Others were equally enthusiastic , Joseph Mills, Professor and Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Baylor commented “It was a pleasure to catch up with my long-time “Toemigo”, David G. Armstrong”. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery and Director of the Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) at Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California, summarized the feeling of the assembled faculty by saying “The enthusiasm of the faculty was exceeded only by the enthusiasm of the surgeons in attendance. I feel so very fortunate to have participated.”
