ROCHESTER, MN – February 25, 2025 – Professor David G. Armstrong, DPM, MD, PhD, renowned expert in limb preservation and diabetic foot care, has become the first podiatric surgeon to deliver Medicine Grand Rounds at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Prof. Armstrong’s historic presentation, titled “Looking Back to Look Forward: Tissue Repair, Wound Healing, and the Diabetic Foot,” offered valuable insights into innovative approaches in wound management and limb preservation.

The symposium was hosted by Dr. Mark Melin, Director of the Wound Center at Mayo Clinic’s Gonda Vascular Center.
