Celebrating 20 Years of CLEAR Vision and Impact @RFUniversity @ALPSLimb

The Center for Lower Extremity Ambulatory Research (CLEAR) at Rosalind Franklin University just marked its 20th anniversary—a major milestone in advancing science, training, and care for people with lower extremity complications.

Founded by Dr. David G. Armstrong in 2004, CLEAR has grown into one of the world’s most productive and influential programs of its kind. Over the past two decades, it has launched the careers of Deans, Professors, and Department Chairs, contributed hundreds of peer-reviewed publications, and inspired thousands of lectures at academic symposia across the globe.

The celebration featured a keynote by CLEAR founder Dr. Armstrong, now Distinguished Professor of Surgery and Neurological Surgery at Keck School of Medicine of USC, and included dynamic presentations and panel discussions by current and former faculty and research trainees. Topics ranged from diabetes-related complications of the lower extremity to innovations in human performance and interprofessional collaboration.

We are grateful to the many students, clinicians, and scientists who have carried this mission forward—and we look forward to continuing this momentum into its next 20 years.
