León, Mexico – September 2025 – David G. Armstrong, Distinguished Professor of Surgery and Neurological Surgery at the University of Southern California, delivered a keynote lecture this morning at the 19th International AMCICHAC Congress, one of Latin America’s premier scientific meetings dedicated to wound healing and limb preservation.

Before a standing-room-only audience of more than 1,400 participants at the Poliforum León, Dr. Armstrong emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing wound healing science, technology, and systems of care. He underscored the shared goal of creating “hospital-free, activity-rich, dignity-filled days” for patients worldwide, noting that the energy and engagement in León reflect a growing global momentum around limb preservation.

Dr. Armstrong expressed gratitude to the AMCICHAC leadership and attendees for their commitment to knowledge exchange and innovation, describing the congress as “a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together across borders and disciplines.”

The 19th International AMCICHAC Congress runs from September 24–27, 2025, featuring plenary sessions, symposia, workshops, and poster presentations.
