Jill Torrance/Arizona Daily StarMariah , 41, gets a skin graft on her partially amputated foot by Dr. David Armstrong at a clinic at University Medical Center. Shield-Chief was diagnosed with Type II diabetes at the age of 15. Last year she lost her toes and part of her foot due to complications from a diabetes-related infection and now uses a wheelchair to get around.
