Father of Insulin Honored in London, Ontario

A three-metre-high sculpture is set to be unveiled today in London in honor of the father of insulin. 90 years ago today Sir Frederick Banting came up with the idea of using insulin to treat diabetes which is credited as being one of the greatest medical discoveries of the 20th century. His discovery has saved millions of lives around the world and it also won Banting a Nobel Prize. The sculpture is being erected at Banting house.
