EXERGAMES: The First Lady wants to make games out of exercise (so do we)!

THE NEWEST WORKOUT PROGRAM: ‘EXERGAMES’ — The President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition is teaming up with the Entertainment Software Association today to launch a new government-sponsored challenge highlighting video games as a way to promote exercise. A kickoff event at the Walker-Jones Education Campus is set to start around 2:45 and will feature HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and ESA President Michael Gallagher, along with several other folks from the video game industry. Later tonight, Sebelius is set to rub elbows with the council co-chairs – New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees and three-time Olympian Dominique Dawes – at a red carpet event that will showcase several so-called “exergames.”
