Armstrong & Bharara – Leading Edge Researchers at UA Innovation Day

Here’s the video from UA Innovation Day focusing on the interdisciplinary limb salvage research by Prof. David G Armstrong and Dr. Manish Bharara. “You can’t manage what you can’t measure”, noted Prof. Armstrong. This research spans across clinical disciplines, furthering the role of prevention in lowering recurring wounds and amputations in patients with diabetes.

Dr. Armstrong is Professor of Surgery and Director of  Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) at The University of Arizona. He has produced more than 340 peer-reviewed research papers in more than three-dozen scholarly medical journals as well as over four dozen book chapters.

Dr. Bharara is Research Assistant Professor, at the Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA), at University of Arizona. Dr. Bharara has an avid interest in technology and translational research. In addition to his research and academic responsibilities, Dr. Bharara serves as the Director of Operations at the University of Arizona’s SALSA program, managing successful implementation of research projects, fiscal growth and resource allocation.
