Orange County Podiatric Medical Association Symposium Reboot with @KeckMedUSC “A Terrific Success”

After a 3 year hiatus, the Orange County Podiatric Medical Association  (OCPMA) held its annual scientific symposium this past weekend in Huntington Beach. Entitled “Advancements in Foot and Ankle Surgery”, the symposium was the association’s first partnership with the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California. “The symposium was, by every measure, a terrific success”, noted OCPMA president and symposium co-chair Jeffrey Haupt, DPM. “To have USC step up like this added not only world-class content to the meeting, but the collegiality was a huge plus.” David G. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery and Director of the Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) at Keck School of Medicine of USC was equally enthusiastic. “I think the teamwork between OCPMA and USC is really a model for how regional symposia can be held in the future. As someone who grew up coming to this meeting with many of my mentors, it is a thrill to be able to participate and help pay it forward.” The meeting, held at the Hyatt Regency Resort along Pacific Coast Highway, welcomed top flight speakers from USC, Orange County, and nationwide.
