David G. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery and Chair of the Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance at the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California (USC) led an all-star international cast of more than 52 academic surgeon-scientists with the Keynote address at the 2nd Gulf Wound Management Conference. Chaired by Dr. Marwan Al Zarouni, the program featured a variety of topics- from the latest in stem-cell and fat transplant therapy to sensors for wound healing. Armstrong’s keynote was an effort to capture the bulk of the topics and included work from his team and others, worldwide in efforts to eliminate preventable amputations, worldwide.
