Lecture in Yokohama in 2012 leads to a successful limb preservation program half a world away in Cyprus #ActAgainstAmputation #ToeandFlow #VascularSVS #APMA #Cyprus #Diabetes #WUWHS

Cypriot Plastic Surgeon Dr. Angelos Karatzias MD, MSc, FEBOPRAS just came up to me after giving a superb talk on limb preservation. He said that his inspiration was seeing Joseph Mills MD and our lecture in 2012 “To and Fro with Toe and Flow” in Yokohama at WUWHS World Union Wounds of Healing Societies. Six months after this, he set up a program to #ActAgainstAmputation. Here’s to working together! ALPSlimb. Also: have a look below for the images he took of the talk that Joe and I gave back then. Pretty great. The moral of the story– every meeting matters and one never knows when one can have influence to make a difference. #ActAgainstAmputation
