Could probiotics replace antibiotics for wound healing?

Could clinicians soon be prescribing lactobacillus instead of cephalexin?

Could we be adding bacteria instead of subtracting?

Our group and others posited this more than a decade ago and it seems that more and more data suggest that this may come to pass.

To wit- this most recent manuscript in scientific reports by the University of Manchester’s O’Neill and coworkers and resultant story by Yella Hewings-Martin .
