Folt highlighted research wins and praised specific researchers at the Health Sciences Campus for discoveries and developments, such as the “smart boots” developed by David Armstrong at Keck Medicine of USC, the Keck School of Medicine and the Center to Stream Healthcare in Place for patients with diabetes. The boots relieve pressure, speeding up the healing process in the legs and feet.
