Study: Evaluating the impact of an interdisciplinary integrated limb preservation service operating concurrently with a single‐specialty service #ActAgainstAmputation #ALPSLimb #ToeandFlow #DiabeticFoot @USC_Research @USC_vascular @KeckSchool_USC @RanchoRehab @SoCalCTSI

To our knowledge, this is the first manuscript detailing outcomes associated with building a limb preservation unit concurrent with a pre-existing single specialty program. This, we hope, helps provide additional data supporting the fact that this type of interdisciplinary program can thrive in a variety of environments.

To summarize: 45% reduction in amputation, 5x increase in outpatient reconstructive procedures, 6x increase in revascularizations. This is across the entire institution counting the pre-existing single-specialty clinic, not just comparing clinic models.
